B'ZEOS is a green-tech company that develops novel seaweed-based packaging solutions. We believe in the power of biotechnology in solving the plastic waste challenge and want to bring about meaningful and lasting change to our environment. Our regenerative materials replace the need for single-use plastic. We are constantly involved in research and material formulation development to offer the best products in the market.

Within the B’ZEOS team, the intern will have the following main tasks:

• Perform research and development of novel seaweed based materials to meet current and future customer and business needs regarding barrier and mechanical properties.

• Systematically investigate the effect of process and formulation parameters and optimize material properties to meet application-specific requirements.

• Produce prototypes at lab scale and be involved in material processing, in collaboration with our processing partner.

• Document and report your findings internally.

• Support creating a database compiling the characteristics (properties, processing parameters…) of our reference formulations.

Candidate’s profile:

• Students with a Master in chemical engineering, materials science, material engineering, mechanical engineering, packaging engineering or polymer sciences.

• Motivated, dynamic and responsible.

• Fluent in English.

• Please note that this position is only open to EU citizens or individuals with a valid work permit for the European Union.

• Salary: 400 euros / month
