The Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund (Handelens Miljøfond) has distributed the largest amount in the fund's history. 105 million NOK have been distributed to 123 environmental projects.

The objective of the project is to develop in collaboration with other strong Norwegian actors a new product: a packaging alternative which is sustainable using seaweed biomass sourced from the Norwegian coast. This product would be used for fresh fruit conservation or plant protection, avoiding the use of petroleum based packaging, which is what is currently used.
